As the readers of this blog might have noticed a Statcounter has recently been installed. The Statcounter registers visitors to this blog among other more detailed data. If you want to have the pleasure of checking the statistics out, go right ahead and help your self. Among the different kinds of data that the counter collects, there is one interesting section called Keyword Analysis.
Keywords or search terms are the words used to find websites or information on search engines. This section in the statcounter tells me about the terms people used to find my blog on a search engine. It is always an interesting and a voyeuristic thing to be able to examine what people are searching for. I associate the idea with the 1984-esque Big Brother syndrome. I also as a perversion enjoy watching the search strings on Lime Wire, a file sharing client.
This post is prompted by one of the search strings which took my breath away for its sheer ingenuity and the enterprising ways in which the internet and more specifically Google Search can be used. That specific search was for the phrase, "types of saxy men liked by ladies". Inspiring. Won't the ladies who patronise this blog throw some light on what 'types of saxy men' you like?
I profess the question despite my blog being the 9th hit on the first page of the search results. The total number of search results were 384 which was displayed in 0.43 seconds! But I am ignorant of such fine knowledge and I reckon the person who searched for that term agrees too. The person spent a total of 0 seconds on my blog and made no returning visit. So pray enlighten us, ladies.
This is how google matched terms searched and words from my blog. The Cached words are in bold. The details told me it was a computer in Delhi which searched that term.

You Saxy Boy! I'd tell you who this is from but with that Statcounter of yours you can probably pinpoint my very location, name, and address....hmmm big brother is watching.
Its quite interesting, this statcounter bit..and to tell you thr truth, hard-core googlers browse the later pages for relevant info 9and they don't click ads)...So it becomes the mall sort of issue, lots of high-quality footfalls, and no conversions...
it is kind of scarey....there is no privacy. I feel like oppressed with the flood of information. I am sure there are things which we do not need to know....
